Cleaning Task Specific Training Sessions

Our in depth Training Program is designed to give every employee customized training for each unique task. We do not assume that every newly hired employee knows how to clean appropriately using the tools and equipment available. We know that there is a right way and a wrong way to perform various tasks such as dusting, vacuuming or washing windows.

All Employees will have gone through task specific training sessions prior to being assigned to your building. This means that on their first shift, they will appropriately perform each cleaning task required. This approach makes our employees more efficient and provides a higher quality of service to you.

How we train a newly hired employee to mop, is typical of how we train every specific cleaning task.

Correct Mopping Technique:

  1. Post ‘Caution, Wet Floor’ Signs at all entrances
  2. Fill mop bucket with cleaning solution as directed
  3. Ring-out mop-head so it is only slightly damp (Be careful when removing mop from the bucket so as not to damage ceiling tiles or light fixtures)
  4. Always begin mopping as far inside the room as possible and move backwards towards the entrance door
  5. Mop left to right in a figure 8 motion – Do NOT use a front to back motion. Be sure to use an upright posture when mopping and avoid bending at the waist – let your arms do the work when mopping.
  6. Change your mop water often. The water should be changed if it is dirty or cloudy.
  7. When finished, empty and rinse out the mop bucket and clean the mop-head
  8. Hang mop in a place where it can dry out or drape it over the mop ringer (to avoid mold or mildew in your mop-head)
  9. Change mop-head as needed
